"Red sighed to himself as he looked upon the silveret now lying on a pale leather love seat, a yellow mouse clicking onto his shirt for dear life holding onto a rag that he couldn't fit into his already crowded hands. Wasn't even sure if the guy would take any of the medicine but he got it out just in case. After a moment of moving things onto the glass top coffee table, the brunet sat on his knees, and rested his head on the others stomach. "You can't die on my moms couch, dude, thats not okay,""
He could always pay for any damage, whether his own fluids that the sudden sickness caused, or…Well yeah.
“You can’t die on my moms couch, dude, thats not okay,”
He wouldn’t die.
Aleks was far to stubborn to even allow a fever like this to stop him from doing anything. It was only the brunet that forced him to stop which caused this whole pathetic scene of him groaning and growling at the similarly garnet eyed male whenever the other approached with human medicine.
“…” The silver haired male shake his head slowly before letting a growl escape his lips along with his lips picking up slightly in order to bare shockingly white teeth.
Red wasn't one for giving into illness--er at least he tried his hardest not to, and he could usually power through, but upon reaching Aleks' world--what would one even call this... time traveling? Nah, something else, though who knows what--his vision began swimming before his eyes. What happened after that...
Well it obviously didn't matter since he remembered like 0% of it.
When water dripped down the sides of his face following a cool weight on his forehead, the brunet decided to finally open his eyes. --Wait, did he say nest? --Wait. Was he actually...
Yep. He was in a nest or at least it resembled a nest. Okay then.
"Aleks... I think I'm dying..." He used his shoulders to pull himself up to at least his elbows, furrowing his eyebrows in an attempt to look around, "I'm hallucinating that I'm in a nest,"
Poultices.
Luken made poultices, he didn’t.
Luken was the medic for Arceus’ sake. He was the battler. The fighter.
Yet here he was, making Rawst poultices for a champion who thought himself delusional and insane. Was this really a good way to spend time?
Why couldn’t they just shove Red into the snow and wait for the fever to brea–
Oh that’s right.
Red wasn’t even the slightest bit feral. He’d complain and whine like the human he was because HE WAS SICK AND SNOW IS WET.
Some humans.
How do they even survive illnesses as they were.
“Aleks… I think I’m dying…”
Instantly the semi-feral male turned to look at the weakened male who was spouting disbelief everywhere.
“I’m hallucinating that I’m in a nest,”
He gave a quick shake of his head before turning away and replying, “No…You’re in my home…”
“That’s my nest."
Which actually explained why it was the biggest and in the center of the room, where it was warmest.
"Hate you guys as in me in particular or...?" From what he had heard when the whole situation was explained, some people deserved some hate here, but Red wasn't really sure if he deserved any of this. What had he done? Well, probably something, but it's not like he remembers any of it. Er... Maybe that's why? It' not like he tried to forget or at least he hoped he didn't try to... Man, having amnesia really didn't help when trying to figure these things out...
Following Aleks' gaze up to the trees, the brunet continued his rather abrupt reply, "Sounds pretty interesting, though hunting? What were you hunting for?" From what the shorter boy could tell, this guy ate berries and berries, with a little side of berries, and some leaves for desert.
He had to pause to consider the question. Was there a word for that? There probably was, he just didn’t know it in all honesty..“Everyone.” Hey at least he had an answer, as vague as it was.
“Food.” The Silver Wolf replied before letting his gaze flicker towards his lengthy nails. He moved his hand to show the other his–Surprisingly not dirt-stained–nails before letting his hand fall back to his side.
“Pokemon hunt.” He added before giving a shrug as he then turned his gaze back towards the trees. “Climb too.” Long nails happened to be good for that as well.
Why were you friends with this guy was a thought that ran through Red's head, but then again, hes--well probably not but for the sake of the saying--hes met weirder.
Tilting back his head, the shorter boy let out a sigh that was mixed lightly with a chuckle, "Well, that's...very true," Ask and you will receive a really weird story that NOBODY will ever believe if you told them.
Note to self, don't upset Aleks or you will probably die.
Cardinal eyes glazed rather quickly with disinterest as he looked through the treetops in order to catch a glimpse at the blue sky. Lifting an arm up lazily the male caught a leaf between his fingers.
“…So is it your turn again?” He questioned now cocking his head to look at the brunet. Slowly, ever so slowly he placed that leaf on the other’s shoulder. “…Because I told you mine.”
Unless that was all the other wanted to know. It got rather…Bloody for the most part along with a few seldom docile moments.
"Really?" He hoped that didn't sound too uninterested, it was just, he was more or less not very surprised? The guy made animal noises all the time, so it was either that or he just... really liked pokemon to the point where he'd act like one? Theres a name for that but we're not bringing that up.
Though, not having any human parents at all, usually people spend a lot of time with pokemon and say they were raised by them.
"What was that like?"
It’s another pause before the male even looked remotely interested in answering. “…They hate you guys.” He replied as if it was obvious. “…They hate you and what you all do…Well…The ones I know on a more personal level…” He added before cocking his head.
“…It’s…Different…” He looked up towards a tree that seemed to reach for the sky. “…I’d sleep in one of those most nights…or in a borrow a little underground…”
“Surprise me. That shouldn’t be too hard, knowing you,” The Former Champion gave a faint grin to the taller boy, before re-fixating crimson eyes on the scenery before them.
The male made a simple scoffing noise before continuing his stroll. A secret…A secret…“Did I ever…Tell you I was raised…By an Espeon and Linoone…?”
Anyone who knew him would know that’s not much of a secret…But hey. That didn’t count in this timeline. “…Don’t have human parents.”
The two walk side by side in utter silence…Well what could’ve been. The brunet occasionally commented on something every once a while to which the older of the pair agreed to.
“Well now that I’ve told you one of mine, how about you tell me something of about you?” It’s an innocent question.
Cardinal eyes flickered down to where the other paced beside him, Red’s expression a mix of boredom and curiosity.
“…Like a secret…Well…Like what type…?” He had a bunch, but he just couldn’t pick you know.
Red pressed his lips together tightly and stared at the other with wide eyes, suppressing any left over giggles he had left in him. Aleks has held the same straight face the entire time, and the shorter boy just really wasn't sure what to think of it.
"Well--," Voice cracking slightly as he spoke, but continued on rather than clearing his throat, "That was a wild ride from start to finish."
“….It’s common at this point…” He mumbled before moving to lie on his back. “Besides…”
“…It came back to haunt me about a month ago…I got shot by a few gym leaders…I had to get rid of them”–Again kill–“Because they tried to killing me and my new friends for my journey.” He added before stretching his arms out.
“…Well you wanted a story.” He replied as he waved his wrist in a circular motion. “…And I gave you one…”
"That’s the dumbest story I’ve ever heard," Red made sure to wait until after he got to make that joke, dead panning it to the best of his abilities, to let Aleks' story settle in. "Wait--What." Confusion struck his face like a brick flying at about 90 miles per hour towards his face. Which probably wasn't a very good simile to use for that, but it was the best he could describe it.
"W-what--" The real question was, was he supposed to take that seriously? With the way the older male had said it it most certainly was supposed to be but-- He couldn't help but laugh.
A hand flew to his face, as if to cover it or to hide it even though it had obviously already been heard. This is a completely serious matter, why was he laughing.
He opted out for ignoring the other’s rude comment–Ironic since he made one just like that not even ten minutes ago–Before continuing as if nothing had happened.
“There’s alarms…And my friend I get knocked out or something…A few hours later I come to and my friend isn’t around…There’s a gun pointed to my head…And half my team is dead except for a couple…And Sin has a broken leg and is still fighting.” He added before cocking his head as if trying to remember the rest.
“The next thing I know…My Gastly is scattered”–Killed–“And my fire type, Dakota, is using his flames as fuel to light up the area…I’m freed by one of my remaining safe Pokemon…My friend has the badge and some money…”
“I pass out and wake up…I’m back to three Pokemon…the city is in flames and my friend is carrying my on his back.”
"Sure, I'm listening," He made sure to get comfortable, leaning an elbow against his knee to support his head . Either Aleks would go on a long tangent about something, or he would go short and Red would ask him to explain which would then go long either through questioning or just explanation on its own. Though due to the silverets short speech patterns, the prior seemed more likely. Maybe he would surprise the younger boy this time, though.
Repeating his earlier action to gather his thoughts, the male nodded–As if to himself–Before mumbling, “Did I ever tell you…About the time I set a city and its gym on fire…?”
Well of course he hadn’t, but he might as well ask.
“…Well once a friend and I…were challenging our flying type gym–Run by a different leader–and had to walk on pretty thin walkways…I had planned just to take the badge since the gym leader was pretty smashed and out of it…”
“But apparently we had…I think a bounty on our heads…and people wanted us arrested and out.” He took a deep breath as if saying that much had tired him out.
"I'm not saying you don't, nor am I complaining about it. I don't mind my choice of living there, it's a lot easier than living in cities. But, if you live there, too, then you'd understand why my story was "dumb" and maybe you shouldn't complain." He turned and jabbed a thin finger onto the others cheek, accompanying it a smirk, "Not here to argue with you, so don't start goin' there."
“…” He didn’t quite appreciate the touch so he quickly moved away from the other’s finger. He shook his head and pressed his lips together.
Shaking his head, the male sighed before placing his arms on either side of him. Well he was right about the arguing. “…Want to hear one of mine then?” He questioned, referring to a story.
