Anonymous whispered:

"Do you even believe a word you're saying? You're sick. You were then and you are now. Someone who could kill his own 'friends' wouldn't change so easily. You should have stayed dead."

HE believed it enough, just enough to get the words from his tongue, enough to know he was sick, he was wrong, enough to know they have trust, they have faith in him, just [enough] of it. He licked his lips, a solemn yet inquisitive look in his eye. He believed in himself, just enough, but it was more of a hollow feeling, one he would never understand.

“Perhaps,” and he found himself just a note speechless, just enough for his words to stay on his tongue, and he cannot come up with a proper enough response for once in his life, in both lives in fact. He only had a few sentences, a plethora of thoughts, and hazy memories that he could only take [pieces] from. His words, very different from his normal smooth way of speaking, a mumble really, “and what would you do in my position?” He knew he needed help, he knew it well, and he probably has not changed.

Perhaps, deep down, it was surprised, but all honestly, he could not answer that, he would never know. “Maybe you’re right, maybe you’re not, there’s no changing that now is there,” and it was a mumble, his gaze downcast. “Unless you’re implying something,” and he would not do that, no chance that he would, not now, there were things he still had to do, people he had to apologize…graves to visit.

“And about that sick thing…” At that point his eyes flicker up, and a thoughtful expression replaced his solemn one, “illnesses do not make the person,” nor do they excuse actions. He was…working on that one, slowly, but he was.

Anonymous whispered:

"You don't regret any of it at all, do you? You just keep going day after day, not caring. You never cared. You killed them and then forgot them when they were of no use to you. What's to say you won't do that again? Nothing."

GUILT so much guilt, his shoulders were heavy with the straight of it all, he was utterly regretful, but he knew the past was the past. Even if he could change it, things would have gone down exactly as they would have the first time, he was a different person, and that was [definitely] something he could not change.

He did care, [now,] when it no longer mattered what he felt. Back then, he never did, they were stepping-stones, they were items of [value], something he could get rid of once they no longer could further his career. He remembered that feeling, pure neutrality towards them, and the fact they were tagalongs.

He did forget, he did not need them, unlike now, when he would have paid his own life for theirs, but he highly doubted his one life was worth even a [quarter] of theirs.

“I wouldn’t,” he was a different person, a different body (literally), a different name, another chance he honestly did not deserve, “I can’t, not to them,” because he has trust, and it was a weird feeling, something he never placed [faith in before.]

“I wouldn’t.”

Anonymous whispered:

"How would Argent and Beryl react if they knew that you killed them? Not that you care. You don't care about anything, do you? Want to bet Aki blames you for his mother dying like she did?"

SHAME, hatred, maybe something more, never would he know. They were gone, long gone; all he had left was an empty gap that they used to fill in decently, a gap he had not noticed until—well, yeah. It was strange, he never truly noticed how much the pair actually [meant] to him.

That, however, was not his fault, Akihiko’s birth was his fault, Azura moving out of the region, as far away from him as she could get, [that was his fault], the fact that she died, that was completely out of his control. He never knew her as she was raising his child, one of many he guessed, he never knew.

“They would hate me, and…, probably,” he was not doubtful, not really, they probably would have hated him, everything was his fault, and he knew that well. Although, Akihiko, he was not sure, he was hard to read, and he highly doubted the boy even knew he was his father, his bastard child, he doubted the boy knew, would Azura tell him besides a few comments about what he did for a living, what he had accomplished?

Anonymous whispered:

"So, where's Argent, Vermillion? Did you kill him too? You killed him didn't you? How terrible of you. I'll bet you offed Sunshine too. Scum."

A pause, he certainly had not been expecting such a question, certainly not now of all times, it had been [years] since that event. He did, he did have her downed, had her slain, by her own Pokémon nonetheless. He had down the deeds himself, he was better; she no longer had any value, why would he need her around? She was just a waste of space, so perky, so optimistic, always [grating] on his nerves. She was the third one.

Argent was the second, he remembered that one well, and his pride had gone in the way, at a festival no less, a battling one. He knew the rangers would be there, it was a celebration for [them], he knew Argent would have been there, gambling, drinking, off break like the arrogant bastard he was. He could not even imagine how the guy was [now,] probably frozen and six feet under the ground if they ever found the body, and he knew he made sure they would not find them—maybe not [knew,] but had the strongest feeling he had done such a thing.

“…”

Anonymous whispered:

"*hands u a fossil and a rock*"

INITIALLY, he was surprised as the anonymous enigma handed over the items; the rock was lovely with its dim glow of green, perhaps some sort of jade, the fossil most likely from a Pokémon of some kind.

“Thank you, but I don’t have a use for these,” although he could give Aleks the rock as some sort of nightlight perhaps, “but thank you, I still appreciate them,” not often was he the one who got gifts after all!

""Do you have siblings? I know someone who looks just like you.""

Meme.

THERE was obvious confusion in his eyes, he was damn sure he had none, unless his parents had another kid before their incident. “Not sure, but if I do, that guy must be bone jacked.” He responded, looking at the brunette, head canted ever so slightly, “can’t say I’ve seen ya either before.”

“Must be some phony you met,” if she spoke the truth, and he had no reason to [doubt] that she was [lying] or anything.

sensitiveinsight whispered:

"“Did you just laugh at me?”"

Meme.

A playful titter left pale lips as he nodded, trying to look apologetic, but failing [horribly] to do so. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” and despite his words, another set of titters escapes him, shaking his body as he attempted to stifle them, before outstretching his hand towards the strange male.

“I really can’t help it, but if it makes you feel better, you’re not the first that I laughed at,” and he really cannot help it! Shadows get their energy out of negative feelings, and apparently, as he learned, [embarrassment] counted as a negative mention. “The first one was a blond with circus clothing, he tried [punching] me later.”
