littlemissarietta:

“Oh.” She muttered inaudibly, caressing her mystical doll against her bosoms. Her rosy oculars glimmered from the sunlight peaking in through the treetops. “I see,” Arietta nodded slightly, “You’re in the Cheagle Woods — north of Engeve. I’m… surprised that none of my friends hurt you. But…” She trailed off in the midst of her statement. “That means you’re… not a, uh — threat.”

By saying those words, the tension pulsing through her muscles eased. On the contrary, a sliver returned when the gentleman repeated her name affirmatively. “Y-Yes. Arietta the Wild — one of the five God-Generals.” She lifted her chin in a facade of confidence, despite finding the accent somewhat amusing.

Giggling soothingly, she lessened the grip around the doll and left the shielding side of her larger and older Liger partner. “Hehe. Um — he seems to have taken a liking to you.” Arietta spoke about the small Liger who snuggled his head into Rylan’s shoe. Quite pleasingly.

"Cheagle Woods.” He repeated before nodding. Well that would explain why he felt so comfortable here despite it being foreign. His Host had originally lived in a forest. “A threat? Me? I’m about as threatening as a blade of grass.” He could be serious, he could not be. Who knows with this guy really, he’s to chippier and honest to think anything else.

“God Generals? Sounds cool,” which really translated to he’d never heard of them, but he didn’t want to hurt her feelings. Besides. The Wild. That was a rather cool title. “I wish I had a title like that, but I’m just plain and boring Rylan.” With Ice Powers. And Darkness, but he doesn’t know that so sssh.

image“You mean this little guy?” He motioned to the Liger. “I’m glad, but I think my partner might be a bit jealous.” He replied before laughing heartly and smiling widely. “But it’s cool he likes me. I like him too.”
