Sora could only just stand there with a slight frown. First this guy wasn’t phased by the Heartless at all, and now he was makin’ some sense? This World was officially weird. Or at least, this kid was. Sora was pretty sure he was going to have to deal with someone screaming or something along those lines. Oh well, it wasn’t like he was complaining though. Folding his hands behind his head, he gently kicked the ground with the top of his shoe.
“Uh, yeah, that’s a good point.” Sora glanced down where the other pointed, “But that doesn’t mean they’re gone for good.” As nice as it would be, anyway. The Heartless were always creeping around, and unless he found the Keyhole to this World, they would roam around… or something like that anyway. Sometimes they dispersed, sometimes they didn’t. Usually, though, that meant that the World was safe from getting overrun though. …mons? Like monsters?
“Oh, okay. That explains a lot, actually.” The brunet covered his mouth with his hand, taking in the new information.
“No way! I’m not scared of anythin’!” Sora was quick to argue that point before blinking, “Steel…ix? Ah— right. Hehe.” Of course he didn’t know what a Steelix was, nor did he want to if it was angry. Either way, this kid was really keen on gloating about the monsters he apparently wasn’t afraid of. As far as Sora could tell, it didn’t even look like he had a weapon.
“Okay, Ken, I get it.” Sora tilted his head to the side, “So you’re an ace with the ‘mons, huh? Are they really that common where you live?”
Ken did not drop the smile, he would never do that, but the light in his visible eye did dim just a bit. He could tell that either weird-ed out the brunet or that the brunet did not believe him. He really could not tell after this, but he would probably learn a bit later.
Or-
Well now.
That might have been why he had seen…disbelief? He had something that might have been disbelief marking the brunet’s face. “Ah, ‘M sure that tha people here won’t mind none.” Since when have they cared about anything-eer…well besides trainers and their champion and….err…they probably would not care about Heartless, end of story.
Did it? Hopefully, he is starting to get ever so confused as to where his thoughts are going. “Glad it helped ya out then.” No need to show any confusion in his words right?
“Glad ta hear it!” Ken replied with the same amount of ardor that Sora put in…without the following awkward laugh. It was good that Sora was not scared of anything, Ken’s ride would soon be here and if the other let out a small shriek—
Well that would be a bit embarrassing.
He paused as let a small sparkle twinkle in his eye once more. “Look around. If ya got good eyes, ya can spot ‘em anywhere.” He answered as he let his gaze travel to an Oddish who was moving out of a bush. “Ya can’t go anywhere without runnin’ into somethin’.” As if on cue a Caterpie climbed from its branch until it landed next to the Oddish.
“Just take a glance, ya might spot somethin’ too.”
